this was eddie's brilliant idea to remove the blown in insulation before he tore down the ceiling. We made a chute out of trash bags, bungeed to a garbage can, then eddie would go up in the attic, cut a hole in the paneling and while wearing a mask, then scrap out the insulation with a red plastic hoe (from the boys' gardening tool playset). It would slide down the chute into the can. We filled up 8 industrial sized garbage bags of this insulation. It was a process. But we didn't have to breath it in, touch and the rest of the house wasn't covered in it. It totally worked!
