Time to de-clutter after the holidays. Feeling the need to downsize this year. Hoping this idea will help me jump start cleaning out and not overwhelm me. Because let's face it, when overwhelmed with a huge to do list, I would rather just go to take a nap or bing watch Scandal. But it's all about "staging" before doing something big, so it's really not procasination. 1 area a day seems doable...we shall see....

I like the idea of moving from small area to small area vs. CLEAN ALL THE THINGS (are you familiar with Allie Brosh? Hahaha)

You can do it!!! I think I need to join you in some of these areas- as much as I don't want to admit it, there re quite a few heels I haven't worn in two years. Boo.

You can do it! I made a similar list and have been chipping away!! Feels so good to even get a small spot done!

I totally commented on this earlier today and it's not there. Weird. Anyway- I feel ya sister. It's overwhelming. Maybe if I think of it task by task rather than the big picture it will help.

I just finished cleaning out all our closets. Three bags sitting in the living room ready for goodwill. Now, just the attic crawl space left to tackle - the worst one. Yuck!

love the 'staging' approach! And 30 bags - such a great idea.
All you need now is a husband who hates clutter, who will join you?! Oh wait, I think you've got that covered. On second thought, can we borrow Ed for a weekend to help us get our house de-cluttered (Remembering Ed's comments while I sorted through the remaining belongings I had at Mom and Ron's house: "Where are you gonna wear that, Bec? Adult Prom?" LOL).

Becky! LOL!! Oh dear! yes that would be your brother - adult prom. yes he is very helpful with the question - keep it or get rid of it? GET RID OF ALL THINGS is pretty much his answer all the time. He is a good motivator that's for sure! As in I better clean this up before Eddie does or he will throw away all my precious treasures!
