bittersweet symphony

5 on friday

1. this week so far...monday was a normal day...tuesday and wednesday - snow days for eddie and riley. (well and brady too) I really don't like to leave the house when my boys get to stay home. No matter how much it snows I still have to journey to work! I am so glad the boys had Tuesday & Wednesday with Daddy! They baked chocolate chip cookies, built about 100 lego ships and trucks and did laundry.

2. Riley lost his 4th tooth Wednesday night just running around the house. The tooth fairy visited and brought him another gold coin.

3. I got a haircut that I regret - will be going back monday for a do over.

4. coupon savings this week: Spent $30.04 and saved $63.80 at Giant Eagle.

5.  I am home today with a sick Riley Joe. He has the flu. At least i got my bathroom scrubbed down and everything smells like Lysol.  He just ate some cinnamon/sugar toast after 18 hours of not eating. He is drinking his red gatorade (probably not the best color choice). He is playing legos and hopefully is feeling better and it's only a 24 hour bug.

Hoping the rest of the weekend everyone stays well! Keeping my fingers crossed!

1. my fall tv DVR lineup: Heroes, Glee, SYTYCD, Army Wives, Drop Dead Diva, Grey's, Survivor, Ghost Whisperer, the new Melrose Place, LA Ink, the biggest loser and Hell's Kitchen.  what new shows are you watching?

2. Talking about rainbows the other day with Riley. He said " Yeah, remember I saw that rainbow with daddy?  I didn't get to see the pot of gold at the end."  Oh my sweet boy, I hope you always believe it's there. Because you, brady & daddy are the pot of gold at the end of my rainbow.

3. Movie Review: Julie & Julia -absolutely delightful. Just don't read any press or blogs about it. It kinda takes something away from the sweet movie. But 2 true stories? Adorable.   Sunshine Cleaning: I love Amy Adams & Emily Blunt.   I Love You, Man: dirty, dirty boy humor with a little love story thrown in. Ha-larious.  Wolverine: I love the X-men movies, this was the pre-quel of how Wolverine became Wolverine. I fell asleep - but i did start watching it at 10:00PM. Not even Hugh Jackman's abs could keep me awake. Trying to convince Eddie he would look cool in some lamb chops. I will try to watch it again before Blockbuster calls.

4. I finally scrapped Riley's 1st day of preschool last night. I was hoping to get the whole year done before he started his 2nd year. Whoops. I am hoping to make some more pages this weekend - just want to create something!  Also want to try out the new crock pot this weekend and maybe some apple crisp.

5. I will post more pictures soon! I still have a post in draft status waiting for pictures! I don't know how you girls post to blogs, facebook and twitter! I can barely handle one social networking instrument!

1. Oh GLEE, how I love thee.

2. Put up our fall decor last night.  And started the countdown to Halloween. So far Riley has said he wants to be: Zurg (from Toy Story), Batman or a Rhino.  Trying to steer him towards Buzz Lightyear so Brady can be Woody. Is that wrong?

3. I just want to find my scrap table. It's lost in remnants of projects and about 1,000 unorganized pictures.

4. I just bought a $15 crock pot from Target. Looking forward to menu planning that includes crock pot recipes. Have any favorites you want to share?

5. Taking the boys to the football game tonight to see the band (and daddy). Should be a great night for a game! looking forward to cool weather, hot cocoa and homemade cookies from the band moms and hearing the band play some Bon Jovi.
